Living in Boston

Boston is home to over 60 colleges and universities in the metropolitan area and is one of the most historic cities in the US.

Some fun facts:

  • Revere Beach was the country’s first public beach
  • The oldest public park in the US is Boston Common (established in 1634)
  • Boston built America’s first subway
  • The Fig Newton was named after a Boston suburb
  • The first chocolate factory was in Boston (by Walter Baker in 1765 in Dorchester)
  • The deepest tunnel in America (90 feet underground) is Boston’s Williams Tunnel
  • The first American Lighthouse was built in Boston (1716)
  • Fenway Park is the oldest original major league baseball stadium still in use
  • The Red Sox were not always called The Red Sox!

Many of our trainees choose to start families during their training. We work with each trainee to ensure they feel fully supported while on parental leave, and work with them closely to ensure a seamless return to training.
